Editable Text Mode

The tool extracts the PDF's text stream — character by character, with positions — then rebuilds it as real Word paragraphs. The output is fully editable in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice. Best for documents where you need to change wording, fix typos, or reuse content.

Best for: contracts, letters, articles, reports, anything text-heavy.

Trade-off: visual layout is rebuilt from scratch — fonts, colors, exact spacing, columns, and complex tables won't be pixel-perfect. Plain prose comes through cleanly; complex layouts won't.

Picture-Perfect Layout Mode

Each PDF page is rendered as a high-resolution image and embedded in the Word document. The output looks identical to the source PDF but the text is part of an image — Word can't edit it directly.

Best for: forms, diagrams, certificates, anything where the exact visual layout matters more than editability.

Trade-off: the text inside the .docx isn't selectable or editable. File size is larger because pages are stored as images.
